The Art of Connection: A Journey Through Dancing Nomad Stories Vol. 2 and 3
Share
At House of Nomad Stories, we see art as a living language that brings people together. This season, we launched a series of small and intimate evenings at Atelier Riverside 253 in the Oederlin area. These gatherings bring together performance, craftsmanship, and conversation.
Each event celebrates slow creation. We want to create a space where sustainability meets emotion. Guests are invited to connect with our collection and our story.
Vol. 2: The Sound of Thread
In December, we explored how art connects us through the invisible threads of sound. Harpist Noemi von Felten, known for her work with Stephan Eicher, joined dancer Valentina Pedica for a special evening that combined music and movement.
The harp became a symbol of a loom. Each note felt like a thread. Each vibration showed the care needed to create something beautiful. The evening was simple and calm. It showed how music and dance can remove noise and reveal true human connection.
Vol. 3: The Path Emerges as You Walk
Karin Kämpf and Brigitta Luisa Merki created our latest edition. The industrial Oederlin area became a stage for a powerful artistic experience. This chapter was called “The Path Emerges as You Walk.” Our woven fabrics came to life through dance.
Valentina Pedica performed with tap dancer Juan Berlanga. Together, they created a dialogue between soft movement and strong rhythm. After the performance, guests entered our Loft19 showroom. The evening became a sensory experience. Guests could touch, try, and explore the new collection. This connected the performance to the garments in a direct way.
The Performance Wardrobe
The wardrobe became part of the performance. It showed the connection between body and fabric. Guests could later revisit the pieces they saw in motion.
Les Vacances d’Irina presented the Fifi Pink Set. It moved with a light and nostalgic feeling.
Happy Haus showed the Trench Coat in Army Beige. It gave a strong and timeless shape.
Maison Jejia introduced the Gina Rust Stripes Shirt and Carla Striped Bermuda. These pieces combined elegance with freedom of movement.
Marrakshi Life presented a Cropped Turtleneck and Pleated Short. The hand-woven cotton created rhythm and texture with every step.
The Wardrobe of Our Community
The story continued beyond the stage. Our community wore these pieces in their own way.
Chantale Brander wore the Maison Jejia Bomber Trench with quiet elegance.
Brigitta Luisa Merki wore the Aura XL Ikat Silk Coat by ALEKSANDRAVIKTOR x HONS.
The Barcelona Dress by House of Nomad Stories was worn throughout the evening.
Litkovska Pleated Pants showed a strong and sculptural design.
Rollanda Ibernini Stirling wore the Oscar Pinstriped Shirt and Parigi Trousers by House of Woven Stories.
Spotlight on Brigitta Luisa Merki
Brigitta Luisa Merki inspires this series. She is a respected choreographer and the founder of Company Flamencos en route. Her work connects traditional dance with modern performance.
Brigitta believes that movement keeps memory alive while opening space for new ideas. This reflects the spirit of House of Nomad Stories. Craftsmanship is not something from the past. It is something that grows and evolves. Each stitch and each step carries both history and future.
A Circle of Women and Ideas
House of Nomad Stories is more than a brand. It is a community of women who lead, create, and inspire. These gatherings bring together women from many fields such as business, design, sustainability, and the arts. They share ideas and build real connections.
We welcome those who believe in collaboration and in the power of art to connect cultures.
Save the Date: Vol. 4
Our story continues on 7 May 2026. Each event is a new dialogue. We invite you to join us as we explore how to create and live with intention.
Stay with us as the story unfolds.
Warm regards,
Karin Kämpf and the HONS Team
